26ft Convinsor
 

I am considering buying a used 26ft Convinsor is it true that the 26ft has a tendency to chin walk and porpuse? How does it handle the rough water and does it land solid off a wave? What are the good and not so good points about this boat? I am also considering a 26ft Sonic in comparason.

I have a 2000 242, now it is the 260. I realy love the boat at about 45mph. It takes some time on the water to learn how to go slower. It takes to the air easy and lands very soft. Very good boat for the money, also very nice cabin space.

What year Convincor are you thinking about? I have a '99 259, I think it gives a great, solid ride. For the money, it is tuff to beat. I don't get any noticable chin walk. It does however have a tendency to porpoise at slower speeds. You can eliminate this by playing with the trim and/or tabs. No problem at all.

I agree with checkmate454mag, I have a 98 242, no chin walk, porpise at low speeds, trim & or tabs will correct it. Good solid ride. I also had a 253, same ride. My old 22ft convincor did have alot of chin walk.
