Convincor Question

I did a search on the 25' Convincor (251,253,259) and was wondering what somebody refered to as "Checkmate's version of a fiberglass cockpit liner"? What does that mean? What year did they start to install them and was it in all of the 25 footers?

Our 88 251 does not hae a fiberglass liner, just wood. I think they started putting them in in the earlier 90's.

Convincor300:

Maybe this is a dumb question but what exactly does the liner do? I suppose some how it adds strength.

the boats before the liner had a wood floor...now the boats are made in three pieces the hull ,deck and liner the old ones are a hull and deck with a wood floor...both have pros and cons but the liner boats look way cleaner!

Dyno...is correct the liner is a fiberglass part glassed to the hull as apposed to a wood floor with glass over it and carpet glued to the floor. Liner is better(cleaner) looking not really any stronger . It is also very cleanable, as far as hosing the cockpit down ,with the snap in carpet out, etc. Depends on who you talk to as to which way is structuraly sounder! Hope this info helps you out!
