1988 Checkmate convincor 25ft 502efi prop???
 

Hi guys,
I am in the process of doing an engine swap on my 1988 convincor. Trying to figure out what prop to use. I had the 330hp 454 with a 3 blade 23p. I am now putting in a 502 efi 435hp. Any suggestions on what prop? Diameter, pitch, 3/4 blade?? Any Help would be great. Thanks, Pete

try a 24p bravo 1 4 blade or a 3 blade 25, should run mid to high 60's, what speed and rpm where you getting with the 23?

stock Bravo I's seem to do quite well on the 251's. I think 24p might be a hair too small if you are the 435 hp 502. Try a 26p. The 24p bravo I on my 415 hp 502 in my 253 (slightly slower hull compared to 251) turned right at 4900-5000. Ideal will probably be around 25p so either prop will be able to be modified to somewhere in between if it is needed.

Our old one with same power ran a 25 mirage.
