I had to order a new fuel tank pick-up last Monday because I broke mine off in the tank. MIKE said he thought they didn't have any because they come with the tanks. BUT, he thought they may have one laying around and would look for it. Well I had the exact one I needed in my hands by wednesday!!

You're right. They are great to talk to and work with. When I got my boat 3 years ago I called and asked all kinds of stupid questions and they had good answers for all of them. Best bets for props, what to expect speed wise, handling characteristics, etc. Even sent me a 1992 brochure to match the boat.

Something I love to do since I'm surrounded by a hoard of Bajas is to tell them that both boats are made in the same town and that Checkmate sold Baja their first mold. I'd heard that somewhere. The Baja guys get kind of quiet. :rolleyes: Hey Convincor300, that a true story?

I agree,every time I call Mike he is very nice and helpful,and when I ask a question he takes time to find me an answer,which is a correct answer,I'll definitely buy another checkmate,they are beautiful boats that really stand out,and I am also surrounded by baja's
