Thanks!
I believe you would be in the NV1S1 class (Non-professional, V-bottom, 22'-26' length, Stock power, 1 engine). The class winner was Chris Keller at 71mph, but I don't know what boat he was running. 2013 Results: http://www.lakeoftheozarksshootout.org/results.html Classification: http://www.lakeoftheozarksshootout.o...ification.html |

Here's a pic of CheckMark from a previous Shootout...

Make that repeats for the 2014 Shootout. Once again, Mark and I were the only boats in our classes. Like they say, ya gotta be in it to win it, so I'll just assume nobody else figured they could win. :drink:
Lots of classes with one boat in them. Some will argue that there are too many classes, but I believe more boats should run. On Sunday, there were some serious gaps in the day that could have been filled. The original intent of the Shootout was to see who had the fastest boat on the lake. I realize some viewers don't want to see "slow boats" run when there are 200+mph machines out there, but I feel the event still has a place for the regular-Joe performance boater. Granted, I can understand not wanting to watch the slower boats run all day, but that is far from the case and I feel it will always be far from it. Off my soapbox. Had a great time, as usual. |
Yes but people who know and appreciate performance boats should appreciate seeing those under 200 mph normal guy classes.

Floating/waiting at the starting line with guys like JT... priceless. |
Wanted to go I just couldn't make it happen. Maybe next year I think it would be a blast.

Thread revisited. Make this a repeat for 2015.
