What prop for 253 convincer
 

Just bought 96 253 502 mag. Has a 22 4 blade , looking for speed was thinking 25 mirage 3 blade any info would be great thanks

25 mirage plus will carry the bow higher and give you more speed, should be the right pitch for what you are running, and see close to 70 mph with low fuel and 1 person

From everyone I've talked to and what I've read this hull loves a 4 blade especially Bravo 1 props. I'm running a 26 Bravo 1 with a 502 hp500clone motor . I think you'd probably do good trying one of these out.

I had that exact boat and a 25 mirage 3 blade worked good and was faster, I ran about 69 with it. A 24 Bravo was my favorite though. Boat felt more planted, got on plane quicker and just handled better all around. Was about 1 MPH slower than the mirage. BBlades said he could lab the 24 and make it a little faster but I never tried it.

What RPM is your boat at with the 22? I would recommend you stay with the Bravo 1 and start with a 24 and then a 26 if you can swing it.

mirage + slightly faster but a 24 bravo 1 best all around on that boat

24 bravo1 on mine with a 454 mag efi. Hits a hair over 5000 rpms.

I loved the Hydromotive over the Bravo on my boat, was fastest prop, cruised and rode the best the best, it took the propose away, when you want to go though you juts have to point the trim to the moon. JMO.
