2000 checkmate 260 feedback/Education

looking for some education here. I’m going to look at a 2000 260 checkmate with a 502 mpi.
1 please clarify what checkmate model this actually is. is this a 259 convincer? This boat has a bolt on swim platform.
2. beam width and degree of the hull?
3. Ride quality
4. True top speed. The brokerage is claiming 70 mph.
5. Any and all pros/cons for this model.
6. Weight of boat
Thank you

I'm new the Checkmate and purchased ours last fall and not much time to run. That said If you know what prop it has that should give close WOT speeds. A 23P prop at 5K should net 64-65mph and 25P at same 5K should be 68-69. We have an 2002 270 w/496-HO-MAG and ran as above with the 23P GPS. Once home ran the 25P Mirage+ at same RPM as the 23P(Mirage+).just over 5100 on tach. Didn't get a chance to GPS the 25P. I'm sure the tach is about 100rpm happy...

The 260 Convincor is identical to the earlier 242 Convincor. Name change happened after the 2000's when USCG began including swim platforms in LOA. Same reason a 259 became a 270 at same time. Identical hulls.

If it has a 502mpi, should run right at 70 GPS reliably.
