Whats the story the 28' Maxxum?
 

I have a buddy that want to get into a larger single engine v. I reccommended the 25 convincor or the 28 maxxum. In doing a search i find lots about the convincor but not o much on the maxxum.

what is the story behind it?

Thanks but he is looking for older because of his price range. It seems the Maxxum was only built in 90 and 91.

checkmate-boats.com then go to the showroom section and the 1990 brochure is on there and it will tell you about the maxxum I have only seen a very few of them hard to come by
how is that donzi running? Im the one that was at brookville in the checkmate

Thanks! I remember you well! Your boat ran really good!! I will check out the brochure. The Donzi is getting XS hyd steering this year.

I think there is an informal test and tune at brookville may 7th. you should bring her out.

1991 w/502(390hp)

I guess I am unclear what it is. I looked at the brochures. The closest I could come was 1990 and 1993. The guy selling it is calling it a Maxxum. The 1990 Maxxum has a square transom. The boat looks just like the 1993 Enforcer280 in this brochure pic....

Kind of confusing and has it been repowered They are nice boats either way

Yes, it is a bit confusing. But it is like the one pictured above with the molded on swim platform. The motor had been rebuilt like 70 or so hours ago. Thats not too much of a concern though b/c we will repower her anyways!

What all did you do to yours this winter?

Sounds like your cousin and I will have a good run! What year is his boat? Power?
