The master at work...
|
that paint job is one of the best I have seen in a while, nice work
|
why don't they do the rigging before paint? seems like a really expensive paint job, and I know these guys are good, but accidents happen! LOL! I am just surprised they don't do some sort of mock up and get most of the holes punched in the transom before paint. Was it just a scheduling thing with the painter maybe?

To better match the Rigging and Upholstery to the paint is my guess.
|
Good question I was thinking the same thing is this standard practice.

I like that #6 template Bobby is using for the layout. Is that something thats available or would that be a custom made piece. I have the Merc Bravo jig but always thought it was not inherently precise enough and thought a registered plate like the one he's using would be much better. Even though its a 6 plate, just wondered if there out there somewhere. Keep up the great work, should be another impressive build.

Hey Bob, what's happening! You think we'll see the Velocity this summer?
I guess that was up to the owner to race or pace and I don't think the boat was specced out for any of the classes. Besides, I think it did a better job selling new boats over at the Poker Run docks. ;-) |
