39' stinger hulls?
 

Moving to the coast and currently looking at a 1983 39' stinger.
Can anyone give me some tips on what to look for or weak spots on these boats?Am going to have it surveyed,just looking for some input on little quirks from current owners.Just sold my single engine donzididn't want to put that in the gulf.lol.

Hull layup issues are the most common complaint. Stringers are probably second.

There were some issues with the glass crew around 86 to 88 but most problems were on 312s (delamination) and Amerosports (rigging crew cut through stringer to route plumbing).

Stringers, transom, and bulkheads. Had to replace most of ours when we rebuilt an 82 to race. Deck to the hull joint could use a good look as well.

Thanks for all the input on the hull problems.Looking at a couple of 39's but also looking at a 35' mistress.
