Any other 375's? AC and performance ??s
1 Attachment(s)
This winter I think my boat project is going to be putting in an AC unit. I was wondering if anyone with a 375 w/ AC could give me an idea of where their's is installed and vented.
Also, I'd like to know what kind of performance your getting and what engine/prop setup you've got. GPS puts me at about 58.5 most of the time. Although I have seen the north side of 60 a couple times in a really good chop. I've got 454s w/ 450 hp ( hp is according to the guy I bought it from). It has Bravo 1 4 blade 22p and I'm seeing about 4900 rpm WOT. Thanks, here's a pic: |

HEY joyride thats our old boat...how ya like it? we jsut got our redone 42 cig revo in tha water a few weeks ago and already got probs wiht tha heads in the center engien :( when we ran the chris craft we usualy got about 4500 rpms and knew that it wasnt propped right, but the boat got out of teh water great and wasnt gona be a speed demon no matter how it was propped.. if ur running 4900 wiht those 22s you might wanna have hydromotive lab those and get about another 300 rpms outta em and you could be running bout 5200 rpms whihc is perfect redline for those engines..O, and im the 13 year old son of the guy you bought the boat from :drink:

we were gonna put an ac unit in the chris craft if we hadnt have sold it. we were going to put the unit under the large round bench&table/bed, in the large cabin area. we were goin to put it below in the fiberglass and have an air vent for intake and a larger one for outgoing cold air.. we used a realy good website we found who sold them to get a lot of good info..ill try to find the site and post it

Re: Any other 375's? AC and performance ??s
I had these 22p's "labbed" That's how I got the boat from 4400 rpm up to 4900. I picked up 3-4 mph. I'm thinking about re-pitching them to 23.

I had an 88 375 for a couple months. The a/c unit was mounted in the bilge, on the port side. Right in front of the battery. Plumbing ran under the boat from the bilge area. Nice looking boat.

Was that the factory setup? That seems like a long way to run the cold air vent.

No, it was aftermarket

Re: Any other 375's? AC and performance ??s
My air is mounted under the counter top, beside the water heater,, the return is on the port side of the round dinnette. It only has one vent port side bulk head under the spot lights which blows into the v berth and the main cabin. The controll panel is above the overhead cabinettes to port, 6k btu is probly on the small side, but it works well here in the hot philly months. I have 454 HO's with TRS drives,, just upgraded from 24 to 25 mirrages,, normally gets about 60 mph on a good day. You're lucky to have Bravo's,, just replaced my trs's and i could have located moon rocks easier! Mine's an '88 375. Did these boats ever have a windscreen ? I'm in Philly as I said,, email me at ksh1964@aol if you want to talk about the boats. Kevin

No, they didn't have a windscreen. I've seen it added, it just doesn't look right! This boat is on boattraderonline.com for $89K w/ twin Yanmar diesels.
