It's a small block. It had a Marine Power Enpac Vortec 300HP dropped in it a few years back. It is a little easier at the fuel pump. It a big turd for speed. These boat are too heavy and wide to go fast. Cruises right at 35 and tops out at around 45. But for cruising with the family it is perfect. Consider that I stole it for $3200 and put another $500 in interior and assorted mechanical parts I can't complain. It's my $3700 rookie boat. For our first boat I think we are doing okay. There is a lot of junk out on the lake. :D
Here is a fam shot from last weekend at the cove. The kids love it and we all are looking forward to enjoying our new boat this summer. :evilb: |
That's a cheap price to pay for some good famaliy fun......

Looks like money well spent by the picture.:D

Man - what a great job on the interior! Looks Fantastic.
I got my 1st boat last week...found a 1991 245 that was barely used...Worst problem with it was the port side was starting to chalk as it was in the sun all of the time as it has sat on a lift in a covered slip most of it's life! |
Nice Arron, That looks like brand new! Congrats on the new boat!
Mine was extremely chalked up when we got it. Mine started as being pink. It had sat uncovered for 3 winters. I wet sanded it all the gel with 800 and then 1000. Hit it with a buffer and a good cutting creme, finished it off with 3M Marine polish. It took a good 3 days but turned out great. The white on yours should only need a good polish. |
What happened to the pic's Aaron. And what engine are you runnin?
