I could get more rpms from smaller props but my lower rpm cruise drops off. I can cruise at about 35 at 3000 rpms with a clean bottom and these props, so I keep em. 35 mph without opening the secondarys on the carbs was more important than the extra few mphs at WOT. Limits the overall boat speed to about 53-54 though. |

You need to add reinforcement to bow, can be done from inside , Add a Bow Roller approx 14" long and make sure it's long enough so anchor tines don't hit the boat, I would put a large Aluminum plate underneath drill through and Install Fender washers and double nuts, single nuts are hard to get off later as you will have corrosion, recommend a separate Stamson Post (Cleat) to tie to, cleats are not bad but ,offshore requires more strength, due to swells.
Ask me about it when you come back in, Can Also Add a Teak Bow Pulpit and it looks good with the rest of the Teak, Don Racine |
