What or who has the fastest 202
 

Anybody with or had a 202 stinger please fill me in on how fast it has been on gps If ya could post what power was in it.. Thanks for any and all info...

I had a 202 when they first came out - purchased it new - pulled the V-6 out with zero hours and put a SB 406CID with 9:1 , aluminum heads, and custom ss exhaust - Never had a GPS - the boat would go over 80 and was dangerous at speeds over 60mph - Had an alpha drive that would last about 10 hrs - I loved the little boat but if you want to go fast look for another boat

hopefully this spring I can run ours, new 496ho in it with a rebuilt alpha, and had the bottom worked and was working on props to see what was needed just ran out of warmth.

You may want to consider a long set of tabs to help that puppy balance - I always had fun with mine but I also saw god on several occasions as a result of the poor handling - and maybe a couple hundred pounds of blast up front to get the hop out -

James will look into the tabs for sure and test with weight to see, thanks foe the tip, always something when it is your own little project that you forget to check.

Mine is runnin 79 on gps,running a 350 mpi with a arizona tune and eddie marine exhaust, check out 202stinger fly by on youtube.The boat is a hand full but I'm putting sum tabs on this year.Boat always handled well but get's a chine walk in it ,but you can drive thru it. I took the sand out of the bow, but still have trouble getting it up in front.Thinking of running a extension box. First I have to install the external steering. It was hard to find for a alpha but I did.This boat is a blast to drive,fools a lot of those guys with the so called 80 mph boats .The boat has more mph in it just trying to get the right gear ratio now.
