BYE BYE 312 Stinger

I offered this boat free a while ago and got no solid responses. I'm sure it was partly my fault by not replying fast enough but oh well. This boat has just been in the way and since I had no trailer I had to improvise. First picture was last night, last one was after the stripping.

Dont get me wrong, I love this boat, the lines are beautiful but it had to go. Need to make room for long dongs cat. (I'm trying)

WOW With a church and grave yard in the background!!
Sad to see this since I had a 312 Stinger myself few years back. Please call me before you cut up long dongs cat...

yeah it kinda hurt cutting it up, hopefully I'll make a few dollars on parts. I was surprised to see it had a 155 gallon tank, yet had three fuel gauges?

Mange, I remember your 312, nice boat. And completely forgot that I took it in front of the church, I just pulled over cause it had NO tongue weight. (NO motors)

Good one...

I replied to your thread under the "General Section" and never heard back from you. I have a tri-axle and was ready to drive down to grab it but you said someone else beat me to the punch.

Why did you cut it up?!?!?!?!?

I'll take the hatches off your hands.......................contact me!

[email protected]

prostock85 05-21-2008 12:02 AM

ve3lt, someone came down and said they wanted it, said they would be back in a week, never heard from them again.

The reason it was cut was only due to the "0" tongue weight on my truck. Very unsafe driving conditions.

The hatches would gladly have been yours but....

can't believe this! I'm sure you would have had many who would want it after it was out of water...

ve3lt 05-22-2008 02:26 PM

I just want to cry like a little baby!!!!

WHY WHY WHY???????????????????????????????

I had twin power plants for it (pair of small blocks) and new window glass out of the parts boat I had a line on. I was planning on painting it same as the 390 I have!
Oh well.......
:(

It's sad to see the demise of a beautiful boat like that!

Thats exactly what the problem was. I e-mailed you multiple times and even included my phone number and address! Thats a real shame seeing them crushed and not restored. Good luck with your part sales, Nick.

Nick, once again I appoligize but I have no say in the matter. The boat was their months after it was supposed to be out and once out of the water I was paying daily for a trailer. I got bombarded with emails at first full of empty promises and people asking if I could wait months. Then there was that guy who came, said he'd take it and never came. That was the last straw.

I hated seeing it go to but had no choice, Thanks George

spazboz 05-23-2008 05:31 PM

Hey, thats o'k George. I can understand the situation. And TRUST me, I know just how dependable people can be when dealing over the internet. Good luck to you, and happy boating! Nick

What parts do you have from the boat for sale - I might be interested in some of them. Please let me know.

Shagnaz 06-17-2008 07:28 PM

The link to the picture of a boat, is it on the rocks? What is it up against. Very sad that it had to come to this.:traurig001:

HiZ 07-01-2008 08:31 PM

Ummmm.............
speechless..........

Tristar Racing 07-02-2008 08:25 AM

Wow, I would have thought there would be a better solution; then again the boat wasnt sitting in my front yard and empty sales promises were not being made to me.

Pictures are definately sad though...

fund razor 09-02-2008 05:28 PM

Destroying a hull and leaving one less stinger will certainly teach those undependable internet people.

I look forward to the day that I have enough coin that I can destroy things because they are in the way.

"oh well."

Wow....I just stumbled upon this thread for the first time. Unfortunate to say the least.

Just curious, how did that little TrailBlazer SS do with the towing duties? Must have been a handful!

Full Force 09-03-2008 04:37 PM

Should have kept the K-planes!!!

SKRAMER 09-06-2008 07:07 AM

What a waste!!!

320es 09-06-2008 12:48 PM

That is such a waste! How bad was the boat? Was it rotten?

Ghostrider 09-13-2008 02:48 AM

You would cry to know what that would sell for down here.
It would be the only one down under as well I'd bet!

A damn shame I don't still live up there or I would've adopted that out of pitty! (my wife would kill me but oh well!)

I'm still sad about having to get rid of it, The SS actually towed it quite well, stopping no so good because I didn't have a brake controller (electric brakes) but anything with surge brakes tows VERY well. I tow the fountain with it.

I think I may buy another Stinger after I sell the fountain, the lines are just beautiful

You tow a 29 Fever with your TBSS? Is your boat twin or single? What does it weigh? I believe the AWD TBSS is rated at 6600lbs. I have one, but the transmission just does not feel ready for any kind of serious towing. I wish I could tow my 303 with it, but I don't even trust my 1500 to do the job either.

After what you did with the last one... you should be barred from Stingers. Too few left. Stick with Fountains. It would be good to crush a few and help the used market. There are only so many stingers left. Don't hurt any more, please. You could chop up Fountains for years and nobody would notice.

Signed, a former stinger owner.

fund razor 10-03-2008 08:54 PM

Also please don't chop up any Apaches or Aronow Cigs.

MILD THUNDER 10-13-2008 10:25 PM

didnt even keep the TRS Gimbals or Kplanes? Prob 3-5g worth of parts there! Let me know when that Fountain gets in your way, I'll come get it :cool-smiley-027:

Full Force 10-13-2008 10:27 PM

TRS gimbles are not worth what they once were, i sold a set last year for 200 each, and bought my K-planes used for 500, I would however had pulled them if it was me!
