Does anyone know where I can purchase the drop down bolster seats and interior kit to upgrade my 83 Stinger to the 85 style?? Thanks!!

260 stinger
Sorry I can't help you on your search. But my wife and I are seriously looking to up size our boat to a 260 Stinger. We currently own a Chris Craft 210 bow rider. Out grew it. What do you think of yours? Good bad or indifferent? I realize I am being very general, but I've heard good and bad about them; particularly the latter 80s Stingers. Please advise.

I love mine, although it is a very heavy boat and many people crap on its speed capabilities because of that. I have had 3 Baja boats of similar size, and honestly would rather cruise my Stinger.

260 Stinger
I'd rather have heavy and smooth in a boat (but not my woman). We are parting with our 210. Need something bigger and smoother. My wife (just 38years) had a stroke two weeks ago. Doc said no more little boat. Can't risk her getting jounced around for the foreseeable future. So it is up size or nothing at all.

Ok, where are all the prop guys hiding? My Stinger runs 58mph with the stock 260hp sbc's in it (13x17 pitch props). What can I expect when the 425hp strokers find their new home, and what props should I run?

With 17pitch props your 350 would have to be spinning 6000+ rpm. Seeing as the stock 260/350s only spin about 4800-5000rpm that is really not possible. Was that GPS speed or dream-o-meeter (speedo) speed? |
it was def just the speedo gauge, and I was wrong, the props are 14.5 x 19 pitch.

Bulldog wish i could help ya on the seats that was actually one of my favorite things about my 260. Shouldnt be to hard to build a set though. When i had my vinyl done i got a good look at the structure and its all plywood. If someone on here can come up with some patterns it looks like a good winter project :D
I was running three blade 23" Mirage props and seeing sixty right on the dot at just under 5000rpm. My 260's were just hoped up a bit to maybe 300hp. Cruised at fifty all day long at right about four grand. |
I have a set of bolsters in very good condition, I actually hav a complete 1985 stinger, I was in the middle of building and still cant get title, so I will part or sell whole. I am in Md.
|
i may be interested in the quarter windows, the flip out vent ones on the sides of the windscreen. i broke one of mine and i know the current owner still has not replaced it yet.
|
That I cannot help with my windshield was broken so I removed it and started making a faring for the front.
|
I don't have an original interior but if you would like to do a custom, I can do that.
Thanks, Gavin 724-797-1921 www.custommarinefabrication.com |
