Wasn't the 27' Mach One a derivative of the 26' Stinger? Popped from the same molds if I remember correctly . . .
A guy I knew had a pair of big block motors in his then new 27' Mach One in the late '80s, early '90s. I thought the two boats were virtually identical, 26' Stinger and 27' Mach One. :party-smiley-004: Harry |
Got a call from my marina "DAVE YOUR BOATS TAKING ON WATER" ****!!!!!!
|
Insurance???
Hope everything is not to bad! |
I think Mach 1 did use old Chris Craft molds..The 24 Mach 1 is definitely from the 230 Scorpion mold...

She went down stern first and flooded the drives and was an inch and a half from flooding the engines, the water backed up and put about 12 inches in the cabin through the drain in the step to the cabin lost a couple electric motors and some staining to my beautiful blue velvetine interior (thank GOD i might get it replaced) of course the insurance company doesen't want to pay.
|
What caused the problem?
|
That's a Bummer.
I hope insurance looks after you, after all, it's their job! At least you caught it staight away, I suppose that's better than the phone call saying, "Hey um, you boat sank, come get it." Have you pulled it back out of the water yet? |
Insurance is taken their own sweet time, i think we hit something just below the water. my starboard indicator came up 25 degrees with the port drive coming up 10 degrees both engines hit their rev limiters thank god for MSD that ones for you ghost rider, after about 3 seconds everything was back to normal, no wierd engine readings stayed on the boat that night had mabey 3/4 inch of water in the bilge after about 18 hours nothing abnormal for a 25 year old boat, and the marina did pull it out so me and my daughter now have a camper in the parking lot.

Ghost rider wish I had some extra time to come down and see your project looks good. In Kuala lumpur for the next 3 weeks right above you

Just heard from the insurance company and they denied my claim. told me that the boat went down due to a thru hull fitting that wasn't sealed properly. my question to them was how was this the cause when that drain is 3 inches above the water line. ANYBODY WANT A STINGER 390X.
