222 Stingers

anybody know how many of these things are out there? I am doing a replacement OEM style fairing/windscreen out of fiberglass and wondered what kind of demand there might be for these things. Most i have seen are broke, the one I'm pulling the mold off is a mess and required a bit of tuning. New one will be a cored composite piece that will be way more durable. These little 222's are pretty sweet! Makes me mis my old Scorpion

I could possibly be interested. My fairing is in excellent shape (boat was stored inside for years), but I think a change from the original black might be nice.

How much are you thinking of getting for one?

Is it gonna be just like the orriginal or are you doign something different? Mines perfect but hell if its cool i may be persuaded :D

heck yeah count me in for one...mine was in about ten peices from a tree falling on it...i urethaned it all back together and it looks half decent but can still see the crack lines all through it....

they will be direct replacments with no changes from OEM, cored fiberglass in white gel. They will be in the $1500-$2000 range at this point for it to be worth my while (selling 4 or 5). If i had commitments for eight to ten of them i could get the price down to a grand or so. i know these boats are a limited production boat so not sure if thats doable or not.

Thanks for the input guys. I like to keep my eyes peeled for potential little projects like this. The 222 in my marina is a cool little boat and in great shape except for the windscreen. Hoping to spark enough intrest to tackle this project. Its pointless and almost impossible to do just a single part, the numbers just dont work as i would have to charge the first one out at an unrealistic rate.

Mine's painted white, I much prefer the white look rather than the black. I have before and after pics of mine and I think if you're doing yours up from scratch then white is the way to go! My paint is scratching off in areas and there's one crack in a side piece but if I could get a new one down here cheap enough I'd be in for a replacement for sure!

Good luck mate!
