Any prop suggestions for a 210 Scorpion?
Hey,
I just hit a rock with my prop on my 1986 210 Scorpion. The boat has a 260hp Mercrusier with a Alpha One. Any suggestions for a replacement prop? What size and pitch prop do you have on your Chris Craft? Thanks, Bob |
props
I have an '88 scorpion with the same engine and outdrive set up, I went with a stainless 17" pitch prop to get out of the hole and on plane faster. I had to replace the anode with a flat one to clear the prop, also I added a fin to the out drive and now wish I would have stuck with the original 19" pitch, but it does get on a plane very fast, I am thinking about a 19" 4 blade stainless prop to replace mine now to try to get more top end speed, I hope this helps a little.

Anybody know what came on the 350/Alpha combo stock?
My '84 210SL has an unknown prop on it currently -- no numbers, no nothing. It needs to be replaced, and I have no idea what the specs are on it. |
I ran a 19 3 blade stainless on my 230 Scorpoin w/same power/drive

Bringing this back to life!!!
I ended up just putting a 15x15 on it last year, so, a few are running a 19P prop? So is that 15x19? Someone said I should run a 14.24x21? Any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks Bpb |

The diameter is another thing to consider so maybe start with your 14 you have and try a bigger one and see the difference in rpm at WOT. To get out of the hole you need a smaller pitch, but for top end you need higher pitch. WHAT IS IT YOU DESIRE??? Good luck and hope you find what you need. |
