Bullet Hatch Cylinder?
My 88' Bullet that I am working on does not have any gas shock or device to hold up the main cabin hatch (above the sliding door). Can anyone post a picture of what setup was used from the factory? How or where to purchase the original hardware? Additionally, I notice that on this boat there is not a drain for the main hatch that I can see like I find on the cabin deck hatch. Each time it rains, water runs into the cockpit. Was there a drain somewhere originally?

Re: Bullet Hatch Cylinder?
Don, There is in fact a drain located on each corner on the entrance hatch. Yours happen to be plugged. Pull the headliner down just foward of the hatch. It is screwed in place. You will see the hoses that attach to the drains. The pistons are the same used as the hatch by galley. Take one of them to West marine to match up.
Good luck, Hope this helps. |
Re: Bullet Hatch Cylinder?
Martin Marine also sells the hatche rams at a very reasonable price!
