Questions "101" ----Which One?
 

Yes, I am a new guy to this sport. But I am a Live one and I believe I know what I want -just which one. Any comments would be appreciated.
I want a 38 or 35ft Top Gun with mild motors, for now, and a full cabin. Any comments on which ones, years, etc. to stay away from? TRS vs. Bravo drives? I will be mainly in the central coast area of CA with an occasional lake run. I am more interested in "traveling" around than racing. Thanks.

What $$ range to you want to stay in? That will help narrow down what years to look for. 35's are nice but it is hard to be a 38 in the rough stuff. Look for something with 525's if you can.

With a trailer, I need to be under $100K. Is EFI as great in boats as it is in cars? Thanks.

Thats enough to stay with a Bravo boat you should find an early 90's gun for that easily.

that's right where I was at and found the perfect boat after looking for about two years (had to sell my last boat first :D ).

You will be able to get a nice Gun or Cafe for under 100k. If you want a Bravo'd Gun you'll be pushing the 100k. If you want a Cafe w/bravos there are currently a couple REALLY nice one's in the classifieds for under 80k. Both Cafe and Guns had full cabins all through the 90's. they stopped making the full cabin with the twin step boats.

:cool: sario, check this one out, i just got it for 78k plus new trailer for 8400 from fast load in florida. so, total 86k. 1993 top gun stock 425 mercs. and trs's with 190 hrs. on entire boat. got great deal from fellow fire bro. :drink: :drink: :drink: check oso classifieds there are a few lookin good also check lipship.com they have a great lookin 1992 top gun- i almost got it instead. let us know what you get. also if you hit havisu let me know i'm there all the time know :drink: :drink: :drink:

Grimmy- Nice boat!! Did you look at the Iced-T boat? What do you think of the TRS's? besides that everybody hates them. Does yours have TRS's?Does the truck dragg it around OK? Thanks again.
