79 mistressm fuel system questions, help
 

i want to upgrade fuel supply lines from the tanks back on my 35 ft mistress. i am wondering how to access the fuel tanks as i want to run 1/3 id fuel lines from the tanks back including new pickup in the tanks. what does the fuel system valve near the floor do? where is the fron tank located? how do i access the tank to install new pick up? how do i rear tank to replace the fuel pick up thx for any info you can share.

Hey Rat, I had a '78 Mistress and did the same thing. Mine had a hole under the rear seat where the sender was and then another hole behind the bulkhead and forward of the engines. The second hole was where the valves were to control which tank the engines where running off of. I relocated the valves and connected to the tanks at the point. I wish I had some pictures of it for you, but I don't. Hope this helps.

thx james... mine has the hole under the back seat but none in eng comp. the tank selector valves were alreay mounted by the helm, and the access to front tank was under the aft end of the v birth. everything came out sweet. will post pics of verything when she's 100%, ratman
