Looking for a 38ft Cigarette Project, Have Cash

Ok, I know what I want and I want it cheap.
Looking for a 38ft Cig boat in almost any shape . Top gun or flat deck. I am cleaning out my shop making it ready for another project. Preferably in the west coast area for I live in Exeter, CA. I have cash in hand for the right boat. Thanks

There's a local (east coast) 93 TG that was nice, but has been run relatively hard the last 3 years. Blew a motor last summer and still hasn't been put back together yet. (502's w/ blowers and #3's) Guessing, but probably will go around 75k last I heard.

There was a 87 38 TG in Genoa Ohio that was priced at 45k.

Genoa is a very small village. Should only take a few phone calls to track her down. I do remember he had some asscociation with a riding or horse stable in town.

There's a 38 Flat deck. I think its a 86 or 87 model in Clear Lake,TX with arnesons on it. I think he wants around 55K for. I think it needs a good make over.

I think there's a thread on it somewhere in the Cigarette forum. :D

How much are you looking to spend? Flat deck and Top Gun prices are quite different. You say cheap, it's all relative. 200k for a new gun is cheap, ya know what I'm sayin'?

Fair enough question and I do not know the answer. I do not have a set amount or budget. A few years ago I found the Benehana Spirit in an airplane hanger- I would be embaresed to say how much I spent-practically nothing. I needed a cabin, 38 feet and the cash back so bam it went back home - East.
I am going to start running down the leads that the fellow members are graseously supplying - Whatever feels right will get a great new home. That Simple. Thanks again.

Well, there are definately some nice Cigs for sale right now. Especially if you're looking at under 100k for something that could use some updating. Good luck wit the search and keep us posted.

big boss,

I remember the Benihana Spirit well. Cool rig, Did it still have the Kiekhaefer "Champion Maker" engines in it? Still have the mechanical fuel injection?? I'm dying to know what you threw for it :D
