Looking at another Cig TG...anybody??

1 Attachment(s)
Just got news about this TG that is for sale. I did the bolsters in this boat this year for the owner in Calif. He has only had the boat about a year and a half. It came from Ohio originally. Has 572s, and #3s on it. Supposed to be a kevlar boat.

PS. If things look good for this boat my Bullet would be for sale. PM me for more info.

Anybody out there have any history about it???
Thanks in advance.

What year is it? From the vents on the side it looks like an early Gun. Do you have any shots from the rear? From this angle it looks like the transom is`nt notched.

I could be wrong, but I believe that all #3 TG's were kevlar. Good looking paint....but where is the arch?

Here is a picture of my '88 in it's original dress. :drink:

Duhhhhhhh!!!! Musta been a blonde moment. Would help to know what year. It is an older one, a 1987.

Craig, I just heard from someone else that thought that all TGS with 3s were kevlar. So, you're probably right.

The boat is in the Sacramento area, not sure where he runs it tho.
Probably has only put about 20 hours on it this year.

Thanks again.

Re: Looking at another Cig TG...anybody??

Thought I'd put my two cents into this: The current owner is a friend of mine and I've run it with him the few times he's had it out. The boat has all the right equipment and runs very strong! The boat has always been in fresh water, kept in covered storage and maintained very well. He took the arch off the boat when he purchased it and has done many cosmetic improvements. The owner DID discuss the boat with the Cig factory and they confirmed it was Kevlar construction based on the HIN.

The inland waters around our area are pretty mild for this boat (mostly rivers and smaller lakes). He is selling it due to two young children (1 & 3) and a pending move back to his home in Australia.

I would buy this boat were it not for the $50k+ repower I just recently completed on my 31' Scarab. For a 1987 model this one is in great shape and is highly recommended!!!

He just had the steel triple axle trailer completely refurbished. Hope this info helps any potential buyers.

Where is the arch? I am pretty sure that is Alan Cole's old TG. It certainly meets the description for engines and drives but the graphics on are different. Great running boat.

You're right, the current owner confirms that it used to belong to Alan Cole, and it did have an arch. He says that it was the first thing to go, but still has it. Anybody interested in an arch for a Cig???? I'm certainly not interested in it.

I saw Alan Cole today in his new Sunseeker. Unfortunately he was coming in and I was leaving. The gun was named Mean Streak when he had it. The name comes from one of the original roller coasters at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio.

It was the only Cig with arch in the neighborhood.
