Brett its hard to keep my eys on the road. I just left I-95 north exit 49 in Georgia and had dinner at Cafe Risque. While you are at home expecting your new baby, I was eating a cheeseburger looking at a cheeseburger. Had my three lap dances and now I am again on my way. They say that I may go blind if I keep playing with it, We will see if that is true.

2002 38 T/G w/extended Cover girl Cabin.
575's w/32p stock props
91mph gps with regular load (88mph everyday)

Would like to try labbed 34's as I seem to be able to pull the 32's rather easy.

97- Kevlar Lipship Cover Girl 850+ per side Max Machine 1.35 ratio Billet drives, 29 Bravos @ 5600 rpms good air with two people, low fuel, fresh water last week we saw 94.4 MpH GPS.
Yesterday we blew our second Starboard drive with in two weeks after only 45hrs the first time and only 7 hrs on her replacement. That is planning out and running very very conservatively usually 3200 to 4300 rpms.
I would like to put this power with# 6 dry sumps in a Twin Step Gun and switch out the stock Twin Step power to my 97 and sell her!
Does anyone know how the Twin Steps run with 850s as to safe handling @ speed compared to my flat bottom witch is very stable in the rough so far @ any speed !

Yes I read that you did. I am sorry to hear that. But then again this forces you to do "something" with the motors and bigger is better!! :D

Re: Top Gun Speeds

97 Kevlar, full cabin, 4 people, full tanks, 700 hp., 30 pitch props, 81 MPH. Rev limiters set at 5600, only getting 5200 with this load. I have been told to expect to another 5-7 mph with 1/4 to 1/2 tanks and 2 people (depending on what size people).

Speed is relative to design, weight and power. You could fly a cow to the moon if you stuck a big enough rocket up his az@.

Hey HUSTLEthis, did you buy that boat from Cumberland marine? Nice boat, when I saw it, it had Merc 900's.

Re: Top Gun Speeds

Twin Screws, you're right...got it from Randy...we made a deal for him to keep his power and drives. Since we had the Pfaff motors built in 03 we wanted to use ours (and save some money).
