I have completed the addition of the 8-71s and the hatch modifications. The boat picked up some speed and I think looks great.

Many thanks to Tommy at Chief for the help on the project. Rice Hauler was right, those blowers sure whine.

Looks nice, I'm sure it sounds nice also. What props have you gone with now that you've got a little more juice spinning them ?

Labbed 30 Bravo 1s@ 5300. I saw the new Cig at Twin Rivers ---- Ausome boat. Did they own a Marina in New Jersey before they Came to Crystal River? I will be by tomorrow to meet you Trippin before 5. The power delivery is totally different now, I like the whine.

The way those Chiefs spool up now is AMAZING!
I don't think I've ever seen engines with the ability to rev like these do now.
Congrats on the completion of a true transformation.

Since I was there, should I share some of the new curse words you invented while working on the hatch modification, or just "close the window"!!!

Saw ya' headed that way on Fort Island @ 4:45, I'm usually outta there about 4:30. But can hang around if your coming. 352.228.9449, or you can call the marina 352.795.3552 and ask for me if you'd rather.

New owner has no Marina ownership experience but a savvy businessman none-the-less.

I will call you, I was out to get fuel in town. Going to run to Clearwater this weekend. I met John on Cutler Spur on the return trip from the gas station. Nice man and pleased to see another powerboat instead of all the fish and pontoon machines on the river.

All projects contain a few setbacks and then the Curse words.#$%^&*^^^%%$$# Thanks Mark

Thanks, for the comments. If I can help with the hatch just PM me and I will shoot you a phone number. I only lost .16 MPG with the blowers at cruise speed. Not to bad.

Re: Project completed

looks great ZP....I met you at the Sarasota race last year...at the Boathouse, you had just re-powered......I know Tommy's work....those 8-71s are just the ticket.....you might want to put in some louvers to allow some of the rammed-in air escape the engine compartment....might have to much pressure under the hatch.....

LOOKS GREAT.
Jim,
The engines look great and I'm sure sound even better.
I've watched you and your boat for many years. And I think that you've done it proud.
Keep it up.
Best,
Rob..

ZeroPatience,

Very nice job and a beautiful vessel just got better.
Those 8-71's on the Chiefs are very impressive-I like the color accents.
What boost are your running on those beasty mills?

Congrats and be safe

6 pounds, I will stay conservative. Tommy( Chief) recommends a new camshaft profile, but Im not racing, just trying to have some fun. Bring the Bullet to Key West. The best boating trip of the year. If you get down there "Chasin Cash" and my boat will be at the Gallion.

Re: Project completed

ZP,
thanks for the offer, sure would love to truck my boat to paradise and try and chase you guys out in the keys :drink: ...that would be a goal of mine when I am done working...ya ever notice that working gets in the way of some serious boating :evilb:

Chasin Cash and yours are sweet rides- great pics...nice Corvette
