Actually, resale on the Gladiator is not as bad as it seems. 02 Gladiators could have been bought new for 140-160 ish at that time.....A recent 03 that sold new for $229 just got sold for $195K.Thats really not bad for a performance boat, depreciation-wise.

Chill! The TG he is selling has a very questionable past and should be thoroughly checked out. I almost bought it and did alot of research on it before Jeffery bought it. :bunny:

Just to clarify Wasabe's comment on the Gladiator. It is running 90 now with 32 pitch props which underpropped for the power. I am easily hitting the engine's max rpm at about three quarter throttle. It needs either 34 pitch props or a gear ratio change to 1.36 (which is what she meant by "drives conditioned"). With the 620s it should run in the high 90s.

Correct information. But you have not seen the boat since we have had it for the past two months. We welcome a survey and inspection by interested parties. It is priced accordingly for a reason and is now a very nice boat. My F2 is an excellent example of a boat that had a history but that history has never affected the boat to this day in any way shape or form. It was and still is one of the best running twin steps around.

Thanks for the compliment. I have been scarce around here but it is nice to know a few people still remember. I guess we all go through stages in life and for now boating is sort of on the back burner for me. I was losing interest and I thought a project like a new interior and new motors might revive my enthusiasm. All it did was lighten my wallet! :) Anyway, I off to hang with the sports car wienies! :)

If it wasnt on the other end of the world I'd take a look at it myself, I am in the market! Just to clarify, I never found anything really wrong w/ it, it just made me a little nervous. Post or email me some pics if it is done.

I sold it, it was a great boat. Never keep them that long.

I offered over 200k on that exact boat and they did not take it. They wanted if I remember correctly somewhere in the 265k range. The boat ended up selling for 190k I believe, and that was below DSM's cost. They could not get rid of the boat because of the small market for a non-cabin 38' boat. I don't know where you come up with the 140-160 range because it is way off.

I ended up selling my 2001 Gun for 185k in less than 8 hours this past year. Could have sold it for 195k if I waited a couple of days, but I had a deal lined up on my current boat and did not wan't to lose it.

I love Gladiators, and I think they are great for the type of day boating we do here on the West Coast, But it seems most people around the country want a cabin.
