Re: 20cig for sale
I am interested. I already have a 20' Cig but would like to leave one at my Florida home. You can reach me tonight at 410-256-2332.
Thanks, Barry |
O.C. Barry,
I located the original owner of this Cig 20. He explained to me that in 1972, cigarette only made 3 cig 20's. That year the boats did not have hull numbers yet. |

20cig for sale

Currently under a verbal agreement, but a deposit was not put down.
Let me know if anybody is interested. It has a clean title, and has been prepped for paint. Sale includes (2) brand new bucket seats still in the box. Docking lights, foot throttle and all the hardware. Also a heavy duty galvanized dual axle trailer. :drink: |
I just spoke to my friend who is selling. He believes in the theory of first come first served, and would like to honor the verbal agreement.
However, he has not heard from the fella, by the time specified, so he now believes in the theory of cash talks, B#llSh#t walks... :D $4500 is firm. If he doesn't get it he is going to keep it. Going to call the original owner next since he was 2nd in line, but he lives in Florida and may not be able to come get it. If anybody is interested, feel free to call me at 603-339-1310 cell. Thanks for letting me post in the Cig section... |

Anyone know if in fact only 3 were made that 1st year in 72. I hope so; I have one of them :evilb: . Mine was bought and registered as a 19; a 20 all the same and has no hull ID.
Anyone have any knowledge of this year/model boat that can shed some light on this. Ken |
While trying to sell the cig 20 pictured above, I was able to locate the original owner of the boat.
He bought it new back in the 70's. I was told by him that only three were built in 1972. He seemed to know quite a bit about them and stated that his boat came from the factory with no hull ID numbers. Apparently it was originally black, then in 1975 or so he painted it the red and white that it is today. He told me that selling his Cig 20 has been a lifetime regret for him. |

Mine was originally black also with yellow interior. I kept it as original as possible.

Very strange thread.
I started it as a means to help my friend sell his boat. After finding the original owner of the boat from when it was new, I was inspired. The boat has been sold, because I was the one who bought it. This will be my 6th boat that I will restore, but it will be my first cig. Actually it will be perfect, because at this point, I am sick of outboard engines and was thinking a small I/O that would fit in my garage yet still have a deep vee would be great. Wish me luck... :drink: |
Cig 19,
Do you still have the molded in storage compartments in the engine bay or did you cut them out? I am thinking about cutting them out for better access. |

Air Dog,
I left the storage compartments in........still plenty of room in there around the small block 350. Ken |

Here's another shot of the engine compartment. Alot more room with removing the original Chris Craft manifold and going with Stainless Marine.

Re: 20cig for sale
Air dog,
Its the original 350/320 hp engine. I switched to electronic ignition, swapped out the manifolds, put the cross-over in place of the circulating pump and rebuild the carb. GPS is 59 with a volvo ultra 24" LH prop @ 5500 rpm. I'm looking into a Hill trasher prop.......would like to break 60 and lower the rpm's a bit. Ken |
Thanks.
I currently have a Bravo 1 drive and 280s k-planes to got with the cig 20. Was planning on a 425hp small block with aluminum heads. As long as I get 70mph I am happy, so I might go with less hp. Not even going to start the project until next fall. |
