My "new" Cig
 

Finally got her home at about 2:30am. Yesterday was a long, frustrating day, but she's here now.

Thanks to Dave P @ Essex credit & Ed Cozzi for their help. It's off to Tres next week for annual service and a nice clean start. Still have a few loose ends to tie up, but hopefully it will be a pretty easy process.

Thanks for the compliments! Most of the credit probably belongs to board member & original owner Brad and the last owners, they didn't leave me much to do or change on the boat.

Nope, hasn't gone out yet.. Going to Tres this week for "full service". I think the port drive shift cable is bent; it shifts/feels pretty stiff, going to have that fixed as well.

I'll post a report once I actually get it out there. I haven't had any free time lately, if the dealer hadn't been pushing me to get it out of his shop it would probably still be there. :(

I can't wait to actually get it wet. Tres has it right now.... go figure, the "new" XR's aren't new, I need a new driveshaft on the starboard side. A seal was leaking, filling the drive with oil & draining the resevouir, driveshaft was halfway toast. Damn, I'm glad he's thorough.

Good thing I let him do a complete service rather than take it to the keys this week.

Andy,
I had issues with some of the seals because of a problem with the Merc sealant. Tres knows how to fix them right. I still have a users manual for the 500 EFI if you would like it. Send me your address and I will mail it to you.
