fastest bravo gun??
 

Who has the fastest gun with bravos? what power? are the drives beefed up? top speed? hull materal? ect... im just curious, because i currently have a lip-ship 99 38 kevlar and i would like to know if i can ever make the boat reach speeds i will be content with, or if i should go to a gladiator or a #6 boat? (love the gladiator) speed isnt everything, but..............

Like I said in GD, Kevin Schulte has the fastest I know of. Top Gun TS with Zul 750's. 105mph.

I have been on this boat; and TSG's statement is correct. I rode in the boat with Phil diving, and its one of the baddest boats I have ever experienced. It was once, and may still be the fastest N/A B1 TS/TG out there. Those motors with "only" 750 HP Zuls sound like 1100s when spooled up; less the blower whine.

A couple years ago, www.offshore-performance.com took Spine Tickler's TS/TG with 575s/B1s up to the 700+ HP range, and they said they (figuratively) hit a brick wall at about 98 mph. It took a lot of work to get the boat any faster than 98.

I was in Kevin's boat Saturday.....

Those motors at 90+ sound like nothing else...

Phil did a great job setting it up for speed and RELIABILITY!!!

This is what mine did with 600 zuls, so i figure 700+ to be in the 90 range!
Top Gun test. It is on a Lip-Ship Edition with Zul 600s.
Here is some data:
Top Speed at RPM 83.3 MPH at 5300
Acceleration in 20 sec. 72.0 MPH
Mirrange Acceleration 40-70 MPH in 6.8 Sec
MPH vs. RPM 58 MPH 3500 RPM
MPH vs. RPM 72 MPH 4500 RPM
Fuel Economy 1.1MPG 55 MPH
Fuel Economy 0.6Mpg WOT
Sound Level 88 dBA open

1997- Kevlar Lipship 850s Max Machine Worx Bravos has run 95 mph gps with light load and rough water. This boat had hit a brick wall in the mid 80s until we did some work on the last 5' of our hull.It didnt matter how much power we through at her!

I believe Kevin's boat (Toms Abrahams old boat) is still the fastest N/A'd Bravo'd T/S gun out there. Those motors sound like drag motors....SICK!! Phil knows how to set up a boat!!

The Lipship TG that TSG is talking about (one of Tom A's old boats) is the fastest Bravo gun. The boat's midrange acceleration was also insane.
