It's a good deal if you do not have sink any $$$$ into it. No sea trail, you are on your own pal.

Re: Deal for someone.

It's not that great of a deal. Would be if there was a trailer, props and confirmed in good condition, other than that........

Re: Deal for someone.

Guy said price posted was just what they think it will sell for. Could go for more or less. Is this DANO's boat that they reclaimed from the national deal?

Schweeng 01-24-2006 05:02 PM

Re: Deal for someone.

Sure looks like Dano's...

Nice looking Cig!!

Re: Deal for someone.

If it is Danos It is Spotless !....He is beyond "Anal" with his boats
And calling it a "Repo" sucks ! ....He got Phuked by National !

Whats the big deal with props ?....$800 bucks makes that boat worth less ?

jmackin 01-24-2006 05:27 PM

Re: Deal for someone.

I was just at Danos buying his swim platform among other stuff. He has like 3 sets of props, he is selling them all real reasonable. He told me the story, basically it sat in his garage for 2 1/2 years while the legal process went down. He didnt want to use it as he would have to fix it and it wasnt really his.

Sorry to hear that. That $uck$ !

Re: Deal for someone.

I've bought several express cruisers from them. They seemed OK to deal with but don't really know powerboats. The condition could be great, the mminimum bids are a guess. I've bid and won boats from them below minimum and the bank still let them go. I've bid and been high (and well above minimum) and the bank still wouldn't sell at that price.
If it's Dano's "old" boat I wish you luck getting it back.

If Dano is tring to get it back...everyone needs to stop calling.....and give him a chance to get his boat back at a reasonable level....$170+ trailer + props...you can find others for that....give the guy a chance to get his boat back.

No...they use open bidding and play everyone against each other. Remember REPO and BANK OWNED does not mean a good deal. Don't let those words play with your mind.

NM took a lot of boats in trade - didn't pay off the loans - re-sold unpaid boats - went out of business and ran with $. LOT of people had their boats taken away by banks.

Dano,
I was at the lot yesterday to look at another boat and I seen yours. At least they have that beautiful Cigarette covered in shrink wrap. It is a shame to see how some of the boats are uncovered or the wrap has torn.

I wish you well and hope that things will work out for you.

Blume,
Thanks bro!
Cgarrett,
Man thats a relief, the folks up at National (AHHHHHHH that word) Liquidators have been very helpful. After all this I certainly hope something goes right. We really like that damn boat even after all this chit.
Birdog,
How is your boat coming along?

Hmmm...I talked to them about their bidding process and they told me the bids ARE sealed and if you want a boat you better bid the max you want to pay because you won't have a chance to counter-offer if someone is higher. Maybe they were playing me...

This boat won "Best Poker Run Boat 2003" at the OPBA Long Labor Poker Run out of 70 boats. Cool Boat when Tony Mondza owned it out of South Florida.

If the bids are sealed why do they post your bid on there web site for everybody to see and if you want to bid they tell you, you have to bid more.............They even tell you what you ought to bid to get the boat, ie: this is what it will take to buy this boat. If someone wants a 2002 Gun, shop around, you can find one with a Myco trailer and props. Remember: trailer $10,000.00+, props $1,500.00....they say the bid is $179,000.00 (Sealed Bids)...add those togather and it is $190,500.00. Stop callig Nat'l Liq. and give Dano a chance to get his boat back.......remember OSO family stick togather....

Lots of lawyers...and of course with anything it could have been worse. No one came out clean. With anything high performance related it's never as easy as it should be.

Whats going on with this boat? I noticed they renewed the ad on boat trader.
