Wasn't this the brochure boat?
900 hp with xr's?
Price seems low? Anyone know the story? http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/6/6/82482266.htm |

Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
The whole ad is weird. A Twin Step Tiger with 900's will run a HELL OF ALOT faster than 89mph, but the drives wouldn't last a weekend. It didn't have 900's when I saw it. Maybe the guy needs to get out of it fast so it's priced to sell.

That's about an hour from me. If someone is serious, I'd take a peek at it .

It's named "Bravo Eater" :D :evilb: :D :evilb:
The ad looks fishy to me, maybe a northern "BeavBoats" guy. |
Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
That boat with 900's should be well in excess of 100 mph. But Brandon and crew are right, the drives wouldnt last you one trip out.

Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
Do you think he means 900 total hp? With 900 total wouldn't the boat run about 80mph?

Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
the dash says lip-ship in one of the pics.you would think he would have more/better pictures with this boat

That boat is a 2001 Lip-Ship Tiger T/S with 675 KE's. The boat would run close to 89mph with that power. My guess is the HP in the ad is wrong. It was the brochure boat.
Lip-Ship Tiger LS JR. |
Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
Ls JR. is right. I boat out of the same marina as this boat here in Old Saybrook CT. The boat still has the original 675 KE's and does run around 89/90 mph. For anyone interested in the boat, it's racked stored and the owner takes very good care of it. I've never really seen the boat run hard. The boat is usually here kept in the rack for the winter as well. It might very well still be there. I dont know why someone in upstate NY has it for sale but it's a very good deal for someone looking for a nice twin step Tiger.

Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
When you look at the pics there are no overboard dumps or pick-ups for blowers so I doubt it is making 900hp per side N/A.........

Lip-Ship Tiger LS JR. I met the gentelmen that bought it from Phil when I did the NY Poker Run in 2004. Stellar looking ride, I doubt the mills would of been changed. 900 might be a little "seller's exuberance"... |
Re: Wasn't this the brochure boat?
