38 twin step old saybrook

I am looking at the 02 38 top gun in Old Saybrook this weekend. It has a full yellow interior with under 50 hours. Anyone have any information on it? It seems to be a good deal but I am looking for some history on it. Thanks for your help.

It's been a CT boat it's whole life and is racked stored during the summer and winter. Ocean Performance maintains the boat for the guy. He hardley ever uses the boat. It usually just sits in the rack building. The boat is very clean and has very low hours and I believe they are taking offers on it so you may be able to get a good deal. I know the guy is looking to get out of it. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the input. I am new to the site and it is great to have all this info at my fingertips. I do my boating out of Wildwood NJ with a friend of mine with a 40 Skater. I had an '01 35 Fountain and sold it a year ago. I am looking forward to a new boat hopefully a twin step Ciggy. Anyone in the Wildwood area let me know and we can get together this summer. I am heading upp to Old Saybrook tomarrow and I will let you know how I make out.

I pulled my boat all the way down there last summer...it was the best boating I've ever done. I just tore up the coast for a week. One morning I was literally woken up by a Cat ripping up the coast at 10AM (hungover), with all the windows closed. Guy was movin', could have been you and your buddy.

I saw 02 cig.in question, at Ocean Perf. it was like new. People @ Ocean Perf. are great to deal with. Everything promised at time of sale was delivered, exceeding my expectations. Chris is a stand up guy ,very knowledgeable, no BS. I would buy from Chris on his word, based on my experience with him. I dont believe you can make a statement like that about to many people in this industry. Good luck, nice boat.

Well, I took a shot at the 38 cig and the owner doesn't want to play. Nice boat but a little overpriced. Still looking for a 2002 - 2004 twin step with low hours. Thanks for all your input. Let me know if anyone has one out there.
