It's agreat looking boat I came close to buying it a few years back when I was shopping. The paint is amazing when you see it live.

Ask Otis about the motor he will have more information, I think also there are some thread discussing when they where built if you do a search around here. The add mentions over 300 hours boat that is most likely for the boat the engines I doubt have that much.

I would budget for two new XR's if I buy this boat, I doubt the bravos that are on it will last long, also they might match colors... XR's if treated right will last 300 hrs pushing up to 700hp on these rigs... easy on take offs and you will be all right.

Otis and DPT here had stock Bravos and have not had much luck pushing those awesome boats.

Re: maybe a deal i will paas along

Just bought brand new Xr's from BAM for $5695. each. Not bad, and worth it. I had sold the old bravos for $4100. for the pair. If you can move the old one's its not such a pill.

Thought those motors were Mesa?

Re: maybe a deal i will paas along

BTW, very sharp boat.

Re: maybe a deal i will paas along

I worked a deal in the courts with the lawyers from Sky bank to have the boat taken back. The boat is in good shape but does need a little TLC on some items. The drives are XZ'S and need to be upgraded if you want reliabilty from them. The reason for the red drive on one side is due to drive failure and the red one being my spare. The engine are 572 cu in N/A 700'S dynoed at 737 hp. They were built by Laz Mesa They have 35 hours on them NOT the 385 as stated. The boat at that price is an absolute steal. Anyone can call me with any questions they might have on this boat. I will give any potential buyers the whole scoop on this boat.

Not even going to re hash the whole story. A chapter in my life has passed and now I can look forward to getting a new boat and forget about the whole National Marine deal.

Thanks for the info Otis. I did not win the bid. Some other lucky speed freak was willing to pay much more than me for the privilege.

What was the bid up to when you got out?

MegaByte*3 03-07-2006 09:15 PM

Re: maybe a deal i will paas along

I don't know who the lucky winner is and I wouldn't want to spill the beans regarding what he paid. I will say, however, that the bid was well above the suggested minimum. Owning a boat dealership gives me an informed view (some would say "jaded view") of what the fiberglass is worth to me - irrespective of how beautiful the artist has made the fiberglass look. Suffice to say that I bid wholesale, which was well below National Liquidators suggested minimum.

Why do they have a minimum bid if people can bid below it?

Re: maybe a deal i will paas along

I considered the minimum to be their asking price. The salesperson I dealt with did not expect the boat to go for the asking price. He was surprised at the final price.
