Notice the difference. The very old logos don't have the tails (serfs). The Cig emblem from at least the early 90s have the Centry font as opposed to the Garmond or similar. I agree they look close. Also Cig might not be sticking to it, as I said a couple of the t-shirts I have have Centry Font on the Logo and Garmond or other fonts on printed.
