OK Change of plans. The resto project is back on so insanity prevails. I did get the trailer finished. The boat was purchased but never left and the new owner had a change of plans so I am buying it back. It is in the process of being scheduled into a fiberglass shop and all the structural damage will be repaired professionally. Then I will finish everything else. Just cant let go of the Top Gun even in burnt condition it is still a beautiful boat and lets face it I will never be able to afford a new one.

Thanks Robbie , That would be very much appreciated. [email protected]. Also, does anyone know about the pink flamingo story. Looks like I can see some previous letters on the hull , but I can't make them out.

"Pink Flamingo" that Steve (Luckystrike) owned. He sold it to Hugh (Pool whore) out here in Cali and he sold it to John (SDR John). John hit a log on the way to Catalina during the poker run and caused some major delamination issue on hte bottom of the hull. They didn't even realize anything was wrong until the passengers in the back said, "Is there supposed to be water back here?" refering to the water at their feet!
They got the boat back before it sank and I believe the motors even stayed dry. The boat re-sold (damaged) for around 25k on the trailer...It was a 91 38 Cigarette with TRS's and newer Hawk 525's, fresh paint and in great shape except for the damage to the hull.
If you want the story on it you need to pm poolwhore and SDR John. They'll know where it is now.

After reading about this resto it has me all pumped up about building a 38tg. It is always a great feeling when you put your own sweat into a project. Keep up the hard work and soon you will be crushing waves! Tank, looks like I'm going to get a chance to meet and run on Roberts boat this coming weekend. We'll see!!!
