HELP key fob question

I have a 02 42 tiger. Had engines winterized and all of a sudden key fob that opened hatch and cabin door is not working. Still works from dash. Key fob lights up when pushed so not a dead battery.

1.) where is the key fob remote box located.
2.) It worked even when battery switches were off so it must have been hot wired???

on my 02 playboy the receiver is right behind the stereo

I also have an 02 tiger. Mine is located under the steering helm on the bulk head. There is a receiver for the key fob. They do fail. I can work my door, open and close, but the other two buttons are for the engine hatch. Opening does not work but I can close the hatch with the key fob. Just my situation.
