hrmmm..from my experience with 2 strokes nickle/chrome pipes 1100 degrees will do it, but over time, for that much coloring that far from the combustion chamber, it was hot for a while either that or it suddenly got wayyyy hot, although way hot usually has more blueing to it, a gold pipe (first 6~8 inches on a 2 stroke is usually indicitive of a well running properly jetted motor running exhaust gas temps aprox 6" from the piston face of 1200~1250 degrees at WOT. no way in hell should a water cooled exhaust be running this hot. especially 10~14 inches from the combustion chamber. like mentioned could be a cracked water jacket on the elbow or a bad hose, either may have already been fixed..have the motor runnung up to temp and a bit of a load and shoot the elbow with one of those laser thermometers to see if its running the same temps as the others

The transom has been repainted as well. The transom used to match the dash.

It is all about quality! A well maintained ,like new Topgun will bring all the money. An abused, worn out, tired, non-maintained boat is hard to give away. Like they say, "you get what you pay for".

What was meant from that was a clean, low hour 2003 TG with no stories will still bring $225k-$240k. 2002's are going to bring in the low 200's.

You've got to get the facts right ;) and I wasn't the one who posted it originally.
