Cabin boats will run 85-87mph. The ride is awesome and great in the rough. It's like a supercharged SUV. No porpoise what-so-ever and they fly extremely level. The 525's are awesome engines too! They run on 87 octane and are fresh water cooled.

39 is staggered and is called a Top Gun Unlimited. I haven't rode in one yet but "asg" had a 03 38 T/S and now a 39 Unlimited so he could give you a good comparision. "Joe" on here also went the same route.

Two guys we boat with have 38 GT's with 525's and they run great. They ride smooth and stable. Like Jr said the speeds are around 86mph. I got to jump on one after our boat broke down at 1000 Islands to finish the run. The boat ran great and we even smoked a couple boats too!!!

There were also (4) F2 Top Gun T/S built. They weigh around 8000 lbs and have no cabins. Truly special boats in my opinion......

A 38T/S with 525's is one of the best if not THE best offshore style packages out there.

I LOVE Cigarette! Just cause I have a Fountain (Cig at the time did not have a 38' CC) doesn't mean I hate every boat besides a Fountain. I even have a few Cig t-shirts! :eek: I wear 'em too even on my Fountain! :eek: :rolleyes: :drink:

I loved my '03 w/ 525's. Not a bad word to say about it.... She treated me well ---- even when we abused her in the ruff! :eek: Not even a single gelcoat/spider crack anywhere.)
