What props for TG with 800's and #3's ?

Close to buying a '93 Gun with 800 hp ( dyno'd ) each and #3 drives. Boat has 4 blade 17 x 28's on it right now ( not sure who's they are at the moment ) and spins quickly right to the limiters of 5600. This gives the boat a top speed of 84 mph with about 4.5 pounds of boost, bouncing off the limiters.

What would you suggest will be the best for mid-range to top end performance ? Not concerned with nursing it out. The engine builder thinks 29's, someone else fairly knowledgeable said 31's. My goal is to see 90 with smaller pulleys and the right props.

Thanks in advance.

We ran a best of 94.4 mph Gps @ 5800 rpms with close to 900hp per side in our 1997 Gun with labbed 29 Bravo 4 blades. We didnt have #3 drives we ran 1.35 ratio Max Worx Bravo drives with 1/2" drive spacers .

We tried all styles of props on this boat and the Bravo I 4 blade props where by far the best on this hull and set up.

I'm not sure that a rounded cleaver may work better with your Speed Master drives, Brett Anderson from BBlades is the only man to call for cleavers.

Our TopGun ran 82Gps @ 5400 rpms with 26p Bravo I props 1.36 ratio Bravo drives with stock SC 600 power.
Hope this helps!

Most likely. Dave Wesseldyke was sea trialing the boat after he did the motors, and that was about a month and a half ago.
