Boomer, I like the header color. Did they come like that or did you have powder coated?

I bought the boat from Randy in '07. And, it's still in Louisiana. We had a condo on the Tickfaw so it saw regular duty out there. Due to some health issues, it's been sitting for four years. However, slowly but surely getting her back together. Engines fresh with new Dart intakes and plenty of powdercoat and plating. New indicator cables, new sacrificial anodes, etc. Interior needs some freshening and probably going to put some SeaDek in it. Would like to do the rendezvous next year, if possible. Cousin has a lake house about 1/4 mile up the road from PBC. After that, will probably go up for sale with a Myco trailer.
Funny story, whn we flew down to meet Phil and sea trial Wild's boat, the 39 was sitting in the stall next to it. Freaked me the hell out. IIRC, the owner of Bang & Olufsen audio was in from Sweden (I think), saw Wild's paint job and wanted the same. I wish Harold wouldn't have done it, but you know what they say about imitation. Tank, you met my buddy James Moak. He drove out to Cali to pick up a Tiger with 575's. Black sides with yellow and turquoise. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...cf7a4297e.jpeg Waiting patiently |

Great story, Craig Barrie called me up from Florida and said, "hey, there's a stepped 42 Tiger for sale in your harbor...(I already knew the boat)... I have a potential buyer. Would you mind taking them out for a sea trial?" I'm like, uh, duh. So I got ahold of my buddy Tim that owned the yellow and green Tiger with Teague 1,000's and 6s (that funny enough ended up for a while out there in your neck of the woods) and told him about it. He's like, lets roll. So he puts his Tiger in the water and I meat up with James and Kitty at the dock, boats in the water, ready to roll and all of us on the two tigers head out to the Channel Islands, around the islands, cruise around a bit and then we anchor up off the beach in the bay and hang out for the day. James and Kitty had a blast. I'm like, it's not just a boat man, it's a lifestyle. They bought the boat. He had such a good time, he came back out and hung with us again and brought me a gold Cigarette pendent to say thanks. I still have it, wore it all weekend at the cigarette rendezvous this year. James and Kitty are good peeps. I like what the guy that bought James' Tiger did with the paint, dash and interior. Looks great (currently for sale). Hope to see you at the rendezvous next year. We plan on being back! It'd be nice to see the F2 boat again too. Haven't seen it since Randy owned it. |
