I agree with Mike about the difference in ride characters. I had the pleasure of spending 100s of hours in a friends 1978 Cigarette 20 454. 330 TRS when it new. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and started my boating at 12 in a 13 Boston Whaler. After the Whaler I got an 18 Donzi then a 16 Donzi Outboard with a 150 Merc then another 18 Donzi with a 350 / 350. I had the pleasure of riding in numerous Cigarette 20s over the years. What made the largest difference to me was BBC vs. SB and outdrives. I currently have a 1979 Cigarette 20 with a HP 425, TRS. The boat is an awesome ocean boat and great lake boat. One downside of the BBC and TRS is that when you come down off of a plane if you are not careful you will end up with a back seat full of water, and some unhappy guest. My boat runs 73 on the GPS and I do not have the prop correct. These boats like HP and going fast! They are totally different boats at higher speeds. If you buy a 20 Cigarette you will keep it forever! Its a blast. Randy
