The 27' Squadrons: Mine is a 81, and is #12. I have seen/heard of up to #18, which is a 1983 and was in Canada, came to US and I think it's being restored now. Only made 1980-83, so I think there was only 18 made. I have only seen or or heard of one 24' squadron, and it is here on the Chesapeake Bay. They made a 24'er in the 70's with twin 4 cyls, and a single v-8 - not many around either. They made the 24'Firefox for few years in the 80's.
Personally I think they are NUTS for not making a 27-29' Gladiator single today for F-1 racing - maybe even resurrect the Squadron name........... |
