Shorties
 

Has anyone tried shorties on a bullet if so what where your results. I have heard a few different things on this topic just wondering what is for real advantages and disadvantages. Thanks

I'm still playing and getting use to my "New" Bullet, but I would be interested in this also. My current Bravos are in poor shape and has a chunk out of one skeg, so I'll be looking to do something this fall. I'm running 27 Mirages. I don't know if this is any help, but my props blow out very easy taking off at anything over 1/3 throttle until the nose starts to drop. My bottom is one of the early ones with no notch at the transom.

I heard that the guns didn't like shorties. Perferred to be deeper in the water. (1/2" over stock) Not sure about the bullets but I think I'd start with a good plan before I expensed short drives.

WAYNOFZR - what power are running to spin the 27's? What top speed?

Not sure of all the engine internals. Running 454BBC with 250 B & M Superchargers and single holleys. Max boost is about 6lbs. Low 70's for speed but I'm still breaking in one engine and haven't run wide open for more than about 30 seconds. The drives are also pitted quite badly. I'll be changing all filters and fluids in the next week and it should have enough hours then. Then I'll really see what the top end is, but I'll be lucky to see 75 (GPS).
