Wow, it looks like even the twin step TG market is starting to plummet. Not a good sign for the whole market.

STRAIGHTPRIORITY 07-06-2007 09:54 AM

i want it NOW!!!! I love that boat!

tanner 07-06-2007 09:54 AM

Unfortunatly the owner was in a serious accident and cannot use the boat anymore. he boat is right next to mine in that marina. Real clean boat, not much use on it,.

seafordguy 07-06-2007 09:59 AM

That's a pretty boat - I do like the all white!

Sydwayz 07-06-2007 10:36 AM

I would not be surprised if 'Wild' owns that boat in the next few minutes. I know he wants a Lip-Ship, but that is a nice boat.

Hollowpoint 07-06-2007 10:42 AM

I also like the simple, classic styles. I'll take the clean white over a 25K kaleidoscope paint job or a vinyl wrap. And that's a killer price! It should sell quick.

Stormrider 07-06-2007 11:00 AM

tanner, sorry to hear that.
thanks for the input.

Hell, he can always run it over to Phil for a retro-fit!:D That solid white would be a good canvas to start with if you wanted to add graphics.

I would rather have this boat than a LIP-Ship. Tres did the rigging and set-up!

Oh well, to each his own. Never owned one that Tres rigged so I can't compare but I know first hand the work that Phil does and how he treats his customers.

Sorry to hear the owner was in a accident.

Just curious, if it doesn't have many hours, why were the engines and drives already rebuilt?

Michael

Formerly owned by(and built for) member ASG. If you don't know Alex you can't really apppreciate his demand for perfection. Decides to sell the boat for a new 39', well than lets make sure the old one is PERFECT right down to rebuilds....

I've been on it many times, it's the goods.

Not trying to dis a VERY nice boat but I do believe this is the one that was struck during the race.....no? If not, I stand corrected. If so, it's not any news that wouldn't be brought to the table when the new owner is buying. But I do believe that is a reason for the price issue.

On that same topic, I'd own this boat in a heart beat at that price even with the history.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to bring that up:cool: It is amazing how "history" just never goes away.

Must have just got done running in some big water with the fair amount of water seen in the bilge in that overview engine pic ?

Great looking Gun.

Actually I think that was after we got done cleaning the sheet out of it. ASG's idea of boating was go out for an hour, clean for 3 or 4. Luckily he always fed me afterwards.

Well, I think that;
A) it's a good thing that the forums keeps things honest.

B) This information would be provided to any potention buyer.

and C) This boat is still super clean and a very good price even with the history. It was repaired right and in all honesty shouldn't be knocked down in price because of the accident. But it is, and someone's going to get a smokin' deal on a super clean gun.

sacaja 07-09-2007 02:46 PM

38 gun

if owner got in accident and cant use it then why does it state that he ordered a new 39 and thats why he had drives etc. serviced? who did the work after the wreck and how bad was it? thanks for input as i am interested in this boat.

tanner 07-09-2007 03:17 PM

I dont believe the ad says anything about a 39 on order. The owner is unable to use the boat after the accident, however was very maticulous on how he kept the boat, as was the original owner "ASG". The best thing to do is call Brad from the ad, he knows everything about the boat, and calls it the way it is.!

omerta one 07-09-2007 03:24 PM

If I'm following this correctly, ASG sold the boat because he was getting a new 39, the new owner is the one who had the accident and is now selling the boat.

I think the repair was done at Cigarette. There are several threads in this section about the boat if you do a search.

jmeng 07-09-2007 04:16 PM

Here's one I found after looking for a second.

Correct, the new owner had the accident and Alexander is fine ! The present owner I think is well into his 60's so he did not use it much whe nhe could use it. I look at the boat everytime I am there, and if I did not have mine already, it would be sitting a few racks down in my spot!!. It is a great looking boat.
