Mystique T/S Info?

Anybody know anything about this boat?

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o13525-en.html

I've talked with Peter Roberts at Double R about it and he seems like a good straight forward guy. He sent some pics too. It looks like a good clean boat, but the price seems a bit high for a 5 year old boat. Every other mystique for sale is around $99K asking price which I would think could go even lower.

Anybody know any history or good info on this one?

The colors match your avatar. How can you go wrong? You could call it Phog on the water. For the price I would think you could get a lot more boat. Just my .02.

Hey Nick, I hadn't even made that connection! I think it's steep too. It is a good size though, and it fits our needs. I still have to sell mine first though.

I saw you cruise through the Drip on Saturday, did you tie up anywhere?

RICKY PEREZ 07-23-2007 06:35 PM

Jay what do you need to know ? Pm me i was the second owner of that boat.

TexomaPowerboater 07-23-2007 06:51 PM

There was one listed in Dallas for $99K

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o16477-en.html

Should haul some azz.

I've been eyeballing that one too, but it doesn't have a full cabin, and it doesn't have the step hull. I could probably live without the step hull, but I need the full cabin. I'm guessing it would be about 5K to finish out the V-Berth portion of the cabin.

Last year I bought a 2000 Mystique (no steps) with twin 500 efis (97 hours) on a Myco (the trailer needed some paint and breaks). I paid $97000 for everything delivered from Maryland to CT. Just a quick comparison between the two boats to give you an idea what I think its worth. Your boats pros compared to mine are that its two years newer and has the twin step hull. The pros to my boat purchase was the 500's and the myco trailer. I would say that the package is worth $115,000 and that is assuming the hours are under 250 and that it comes with a trailer. I love the Mystique, it has some quirks but is the perfect size/price for how I use it. I know that passport marine in Florida has an 02' playboy (twin step) with twin 500 efis and they are looking for $123,000. If I was to do a different boat that is the one I would do.

jayhawk261 07-23-2007 07:13 PM

That tells me right there this one is overpriced! It does have a trailer. The hours are right at 253 & 254 from the pictures the dealer sent me. No idea when the pics were taken though, so it could be more by now.

Does Passport Marine have website with a listing?

Would this fit on a 6600# hydrohoist?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180132945702

I emailed the seller after the bid (because I was high bidder but did not meet reserve). I spoke with a woman (cant remember her name) but she said she did all the internet sales. I would make sure you talk directly with her because she said they have it listed considerably higher on their website. I think the boat is worth 123,000 (they swear it is clean) but I just have to stop getting a different boat every year and at least wait one more season before trading. I would at least try to get a trailer out of them. The pros are that this boat is a twin step, 500's, a playboy edition, a full cabin. The cons are the hours but I could live with it, look at what the guns go for in the same year.

bmanafort 07-23-2007 07:36 PM

Gabrielle was her name, she seemed all right.

jayhawk261 07-23-2007 07:44 PM

Thanks! I'll give her a shout.

bmanafort 07-23-2007 07:46 PM

Just tell Gabrielle that you spoke to Bill Manafort who said he spoke with you after the auction ( I was the high bidder but did not reach the reserve) and that he said you were asking $123,000. Good luck.

jayhawk261 07-23-2007 07:53 PM

That boat is not a Mystique correct? It is listed at 35'. Does that make it a 35 Top Gun? Those are pretty rare aren't they? It seems like I've seen a few advertised, but I don't know much about all the different models Cigarette makes.

NickOTeen 07-24-2007 08:33 AM

We didn't stop Saturday in drip. Since the lake was finally clear of debris we burned a little fossil fuel. Good luck with the sale!!

It is a 35' Playboy. The deal with playboy ran out in 03' and than they called it a Mistress. I believe they stopped making them after that year.

jayhawk261 07-24-2007 11:43 AM

Thanks Bman! I think that is bigger than we are looking for, but it is a nice looking rig. With those 500s, I'm guessing it might break 70mph. I'll call and ask about it some, but I'm not sure that's what we're looking for.

Thanks again!

bmanafort 07-24-2007 02:45 PM

They are looking for $123,000 like I explained earlier in the post

dreamer 07-24-2007 03:05 PM

one of the nicest mystiques... looked at it before i got the playboy... 135k 80hrs on her... 4 yrs ago....

Not safely. My 29 Fountain broke a 9000lb lift. I would want no less than 10K for that boat.

8K if set up properly but all the weight is in the back of that boat with the duals so it is a new lift for you.:cool-smiley-011: :violent-smiley-045: :boat:

jayhawk261 07-24-2007 04:44 PM

That's what I assumed, but sometimes I have this "wishful thinking" going on. About the only thing on our list that will fit on the lift we have is the Pantera. We still have some looking to do.

Thanks for that Dreamer. I knew it was too much for that boat. When we get closer, I may see if we can get them to take a reasonable offer. I like the boat alot. There is a Pantera we have our eye on, but it may be off the market by the time we're ready to buy.

You should try digging a little bit for a newer Vice. They can be had for 120-140K by now I imagine. I think the one I test drove in Miami went for 160 brand new. It was an 05 I think. 82-84mph w 496s.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...factory+masher

jayhawk261 07-24-2007 11:21 PM

I like the Vice as well, but the only used one to be had right now is in Greece and they want $324K WTF?!?!

I suppose one might show up in the next couple of months though. You never know.

bmanafort 07-25-2007 06:33 AM

I think those numbers on the vice are off. The only Vice I saw come up for sale was the one at fastboats.com and they wanted $200,000. I believe a new vice with 496's go for 250,000

that vice was offered to me at that time for 180K and they were about 250k with 525s and boxes etc...
