Selling my Playboy

Sorry, shamless link to OSO classifieds.

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o18163-en.html

As much as I love it, I just am unable to get the use out of it that I need. In the 2 years I've owned it I've put a whopping 45 or so hours on the boat. I just can't justify keeping her around.

My loss, someone else's gain. I don't need to sell it, but am open to reasonable offers. Spread the word!

Very nice Andy ... Looks like a great rig  Fully equipped electronics, kick a$$ stereo, stand-off boxes, Dave Hunter paint, Tres Martin maintained ... and even hidden bunnies too ... what are their measurements, BTW?!?! :D :D

Good luck,
Chris :drink:

TTT

Lower price, still open to offers. I didn't get it out (yet again) this past weekend & I've got a new project waiting in the wings.

Spread the word! :D

I'm going to attempt to get it fully detailed next week & get some new pics as well.

I wish you good luck with your sale, but...

It's after Labor Day in a buyer's market. I don't think you will get $100K for it right now.

Maybe you should wait until March.

Just my jaded two-cents...

Funny...this coming from someone who wouldn't sell their Bullet for less than $65k

A $100k for that boat would be one hell of a deal.

Andy0331 09-06-2007 07:52 PM

If I couldn't do better than 100k, I'd keep it. I don't need to sell it, but I'm not using it nearly enough to be happy. I'll be better suited to something sporting outboards (gag), either a center console or possibly a 30ish cat. When I have a house on the water with a lift, I'm going back to big block high performance.

I'm pretty sure that even in this buyers market I could sell it at that price within a week or two (pending inspections of course), but I'm not interested in giving it away as the cheapest T/S Cig on the market in any size. Although not a deciding factor for many people, those that want a Playboy are shopping in a limited market as well.

pm203 09-06-2007 08:58 PM

I also agree that 100K is not enough. What T/S Cig can you buy for that?

BajaFresh 09-06-2007 10:39 PM

Dang, I'd buy that boat for $100K (if I had the $!).

That boat is perfect! I passed up a CR (non-step) a few years ago and have regretted it ever since. Someday.

HA HA! I'm not a "motivated seller". I want to keep my Bullet.

BTW... I wouldn't take less than $70K! :D

Andy, I do wish you the best of luck selling it. It looks like a great boat!

jordy 09-07-2007 12:55 AM

Have you got any pics of the cabin?

70K? With all that drilling going on, that bullet must need a complete new cockpit and cabin redo. :D

HA HA! As a matter of fact, the interior is getting new Sunbrella this winter.

The 35 Playboy at Passport Marine (St Pete, FL) has 330 hours on the 500's and hasn't cracked over 100K on Ebay after several ads. The boat was traded in March for 90K on a 370SS.

Andy0331 09-07-2007 09:41 AM

The "Buy It Now" on that boat has been at my current asking price & it has no trailer.

Ebay (IMHO) is a neat advertising venue for thing like this, but not the best real marketplace. Seriously, how many real buyers are willing to pull the trigger on 100k+ with only a few days to do their research? Hell, how many real buyers are searching on Ebay for high performance boats anyway?

These are on Ebay too, does this make for a "real world" price or is it representative of value? Ebay typically represents wholesale price, with it's associated risks. Most "high end" cars, trucks, boats, planes, etc. don't sell via Ebay.

MTI "Bat Boat", only worth $500k?

MTI Speed Racer, only worth $400k?

I saw that ad the other day - it is worthless. They should do SOMETHING to provide some details on the boat. It doesn't even say how many hours are on the thing - I wouldn't bid big money based on a one sentence description that could in no way justify the boat or command a decent price. Just my $.02

zx14 09-08-2007 10:58 AM

This there no "head" in the playboy addition?

Andy0331 09-08-2007 11:35 AM

Sure, between the bench seats & next to the berth area. Electric flush, holding tank, macerator.

Any other "head" depends on who you have on the boat with you.

Guys I originally had this boat built and it ran great. I put the first 220+ hours on it and it was maintained by Tres and kept in great shape. I had a pair of 30 labbed Bravo’s on it when it was mine, boat had great accelerate and loved rough water. With the price of new Cigs and used TS top Guns this is a boat that deserves looking at.

THEJOKER 09-09-2007 09:25 PM

Very nice boat!
