My friend and Boardmember MRP357 purchased a new Myco Trailer. Wow it is nice. I admired it and wanted one but the cost was not interesting to me. I ordered some materials and here are the proceedures and finished product. We have about 3000 miles on it now and it pulls and performs fantastic.

Here is the finished product. What do you guys think?

Nice!

Are you going to start building them?

I haven't seen a Myco aluminum trailer with the rails up top, only steel.

thisistank 09-09-2007 10:21 AM

Wow! That is really nice. Reminds me more of a Manning than a Myco but both are top notch trailers. so what did it cost to build??

By the way, in post #4, the 2nd pic, in the back ground theres a Cig. Is that the Cafe with the 500 EFI's that was bought out of Florida about 2 1/2 3 years ago? I think it was one of the last Cafe's built (a 95).

Good Eyes, yes that is Mark Picketts Cafe. We added Whipples to it over the winter and it picked up 14-15 MPH. It also has new Interior from Fine Line in Miami. It is a real nice piece.

I have $6700.00 in the materials, axles, wheels, tires, Aluminum, Steel, and all accessories including the welding gas, wire, and alot of tips. The worst part is all of the wire brushing with a Stainless brush before each weld. I sold my old trailer to First Gun, so I ended up with $3200.00 in the new one. First Gun had the Millermatic and the Plasma torch. I had the rest. I added the tube rail on the top to tie the cover to and also added brakes to the third axle.

So it's in the high 80's now? Nice! I always loved that boat and would've seriously considered it to buy but I wasn't quite ready when it was for sale.

Nice boat house with some nice hardware in there! The trailer looks AWESOME as does your cig! what are you running in that thing. And where the hell is crystal river Florida?

2112 09-09-2007 04:41 PM

Still begs the question, do you plan to build some? On a custom basis maybe? Just put a wire wheel on your air powered drill:D

I could build some as I plan to retire soon. I am a certified Electrical Contractor. But the thrill of building soon becomes boredom after you build a few. I must credit the help I had from my sons Cody and Chris. My Dad, and First Gun. I was great fun to bring it to life with my Dad, sons, and Soon to be Cigarette Brother. Crystal River is on the west coast of Fl. about 80 miles north of Tampa. ANYONE coming to Key West in November please stop by the Gallion Marina and spend some time with Mark and I. We are Deticated Cigarette Fans.

Here are pics of the power in My Gun And Marks Cafe.

Dayum those mills look great! Your gun is sweet! The twin to it is for sale in Ohio I think.

We're running my buddies Playboy down on the Thursday run from Miami with FPC to KW. You guys running the boats down or driving down?

Zero Patience 09-09-2007 05:38 PM

We will trailer down to Marco Island, launch and run from there. About 100 miles. We useally trailer to Key Largo. The Marco Launch should save about 3-4 hours of trailer time depending on traffic. We arrive in KW on Wednesday and leave on Monday. Best trip of the Year.

PM me and I will shoot you the Number. Thanks for the compliments.

Dangerous Dave 09-10-2007 06:33 PM

The trailer looks awesome. If you were in the business I'd have you build one for my 28 and if you plan to build a few I will. I also know someone with a 24 Pantera that would have one built.

First Gun 09-10-2007 09:35 PM

ZP the pics came out great but it still looks better in person!!

99fever27 09-10-2007 10:14 PM

Croozin2 09-11-2007 10:54 AM

ZP, that trailer is badazz! One hell of a fab job! I hear you though about building more. The first is rather exilerating but after that it just becomes another job. Congrats on a great piece.:ernaehrung004:

What a great job. What would a new one cost from Myco?

Atleast triple what he spent!

Great project, glad it turned out good for you.

underpressure 09-11-2007 09:17 PM

If only you spent as much time working on your boat. Imagine how detailed it would be. Maybe polish the blowers or something!

You guys have way too much free time.

Beautiful job Jim, see you guys in about two months at the Gallion and the Bed & Breakfast.

My Myco cost lots more!!

Carl

I cant wait to go to Key West. See you at the Gallion and Harbor inn Carl. I will give the blowers an extra shine for you. I switched to Stainless Marine Exhaust since you seen the boat last. They are ausome, and no leaks.

underpressure 09-15-2007 12:48 PM

Okay, Iffff I sent my blowers to you, how long???

Just kidding, I did wash them a couple of times. It all looks great, see you down there.

Carl
