Good price for a Gun??

I was just surfing and ran across this. Seems like a low price to me. Anybody familiar with this boat?? It is one of my favorite graphics on a Cig

real good price. somethings off...

Great price. No mention of what motors or the hours on them. Even if they need rebuild's its a good price for a '98 with a trailer.

Of course, the brokers determination of "good condition" may be drastically different from reality though.

We bought the condo this guy used to own, wanted to sell the boat as a package deal. Its a nice boat but needs alot of work(interior). I believe it has 650 hawks for power, and from what I understand they were run hard. But I don't know that much about the boats history. Could use some paint work around the snaps for the cockpit cover.

Kroozin2 here on the board came close to making a deal on that boat. He would know all the details. You might want to PM him

It is a sweet looking boat though! would be a good ride for the right price.

I was just looking at the add in boattrader, he has dropped the price a couple of times, when we were looking last year he was asking $120,000. $88,000 doesen't seem like too bad of a deal depending on what it needs.:drink:

Nice to know you're looking out for me. Just be sure and find one that won't need any engine work for at least five season. I'd be screwed if an engine went. Then you wouldn't get to see my pretty face at the Shootout.

Keep up the good work...

Are you kidding. I don't really want you to buy a boat. If you did then I wouldn't get to hang with you and Casey. And I would miss things like Casey screwing with all the rookies I bring down or the sight of him shaving "E-dock" into your chest !!!!:drink: :drink:

You know I have started to look for a Cig. It will be a few years away at this point. One thing about me is I do my research before I buy. I like the look of this boat, but it is in rough shape and I think the price is closer to where it should be. It was alot higher a few months back. I will buy a Twin step when it is time. The next ride will need to go at least 95 or more.

at the least it needs a cleaning on the inside, there is more mold in the cabin and on the seats in the cockpit than a chinese joint in manhattan !! Seriously, if you are letting mold grow in the cabin , you can only imagine how much $88,000 will end up costing you.

Those new guys you bring every year are getting easier and easier to hammer. Try to make it a challenge for us next time if ya can. :D

I think there's a better chance of the sun rising in the west than you buying a boat without weeks or more of research.

I agree with some of the other replies. Looks like it needs a good cleaning just from the pics.

Great deal for someone!!

Baton Rouge, LA = Hurricane Katrina.

Be Careful.

fast22 09-11-2007 11:30 AM

I don't think the boat was affected by Katrina, just some neglect.

CAPTAIN CHUCK 09-13-2007 03:53 PM

I was thinking about it as well but after a little bit of looking into it I saw it was really neglected. The search goes on....
