Randy.....Great speed... Less fuel=more mph.
Our Cig ran 93.3 with a set of 4 blade stock 32's with more cup added.
It ran 90.6 with labed 34's on the same day, same conditions.

cover is awsome, made at LOTO, quick wipe down after the weekend and the boats still all clean the for the next weekend

575s with MSD ignition and a little smaller pully

Scuba Steve 09-22-2007 10:37 PM

That was a nice ride at 92.4mph. First time wearing a lifeline:D Turn em in?

BillR 09-23-2007 07:46 AM

What props? What pitch and Dia?

I am running a bravo 32 that has been flat pitched and some cup removed - 93.9 this season. That is what Tres Martin told me to do to the prop.
Your smaller pulleys give you more HP. My 575's have 628 from a rebuild - so I would think you are about the same. My outdrives are std DWP Bravos. I think you still have more speed. I think "I" have more speed too.

How much more HP are you supposed to get w/ smaller pulleys? I have 2 different smaller sizes - but I haven't tried them yet.

Damn, lost 800rpm and picked up about a half a mph? So what were you able to turn them?

Randy you just need a smaller pitch now due to the increased RPM required. I would say drop down about 3 inches of pitch and she'll do the rest. Let me know if I can help.

Phil Berger did it, walk up to his shop, it is the 3rd one he has done for me, so price is top secret for repeat customers. Its great, keeps dust and bugs out, just pull the cover and fire it up, boat is all clean
